I had a wonderful experience at this veterinary clinic. The whole team was caring, professional, and truly compassionate with my cat during a very stressful time. I was extremely nervous about my cat’s surgery, but Jennifer, who works in the office, was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to reassure me, answer my questions, and made me feel much more comfortable and supported.
You can really tell that they genuinely care about both the animals and their owners. I’m very grateful for the excellent care my cat received and for Jennifer’s kindness during such an emotional moment. I highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate team.
Great experience at Pleasantville Animal Hospital. The doctor was very attentive, helpful, and took the time to address all my concerns. Highly recommend.
The staff at this animal hospital were kind, professional, and compassionate throughout our visit. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and never made me feel rushed. It’s clear they truly care about their patients and the people who love them. I’m very grateful for the care and respect they showed and would recommend them to anyone looking for a supportive and trustworthy veterinary team.
I’ve been holding off on writing this for a while. My grandparents had been taking their cats, their children’s cats, and then I started taking my cat to Pleasantville animal hospital. It’s been decades since my family has been coming to this vet. I didn’t want any of this to be true, but at this point I feel it is.
My cat, my best friend, the reason I’m still here today, was not taken care of properly by the veterinarians over at PAH. Specifically by one Dr. Pinella. I don’t know if she doesn’t care - or what. She suggested to me that we put my cat down because he’s not well behaved at the vet. Never before we started seeing Dr. Pinella did we have problems. Furthermore when they take him away to do
Private checks, that’s when problems began. I don’t know what they did to him, but he was never the same at the vet about 3 years ago.
Nevertheless, we did x-rays last year, and I was given vague responses. I do a routine check up this year on his lungs (my cat is asthmatic) to find out he’s got what’s to believed to be cancer. No signs, no diagnostics… nothing from last year pointed to this. Furthermore, he was acting himself up until this check up. Since that day he’s been lethargic, low energy and showing signs of what would be cancer carrying behavior. What’s eating at me is the protocol. MY CAT HATES GOING TO THE VET! They know that… and yet he was sitting, surrounded by dogs, other cats, whatever else in the waiting area/kennels pre-surgery for 4-5hrs before they saw him. Why did I have to bring him that early? That was torture for him. I blame myself for continuously believing in this veterinarian hospital. Now my cat is struggling, he’s on his last legs… and I can’t help but think the stress aggravated something. Instead of telling me to drop him off the time of his x-rays, he waiting- stressed out of his mind. I can’t get that time back with him.
I’m beyond upset. I’m on the verge of losing my best friend, and since the day of the x-ray, I haven’t heard a word from them, checking on him or offering any support. I’ve had to outsource all the next steps, ultrasounds, internal specialist meetings, oncology, etc. I’m rambling at this point. I trusted them with my best friend, and now I fear I will lose him. Lack of care, and proper protocol, and insensitivity.
Dr. Whittington is a breathe of fresh air. She was helpful during this years x-ray but the protocol to get him there was awful. I will not be returning. I’m very upset.
