Update May 2026: Read on local community page that unlicensed manager was fired after long investigation. Can't say more on here, but check Facebook for the details. This woman does not belong in the veterinary field and we are all so relieved to see what was once an awesome hospital back in responsible hands! Have been driving to Shoreham to see a vet and will happily stay local knowing Sidney is gone. I sent my pet in for a routine procedure and they never came home. Dr. Brown hired an unlicensed person to run this hospital and since then it has become a revolving door of people. I will not even go into the lack of sympathy this woman possesses. I recognize about two faces here and those people are barely working and from the looks of it are also going to be leaving soon. I learned the hard way. Check with the state BEFORE you put your fur baby into the hands of someone who is not licensed to practice medicine. I will never be the same.

Update May 2026: read on local community Facebook that manager was fired after long investigation. We are all breathing big sigh of relief! Have been driving quite far to see a vet in Shoreham and will happily stay local if Sidney is no longer! My last review was deleted by the company. The manager at this hospital is one of the worst I've dealt with at any establishment. Shame, as the doctors all seem very competent and kind.

Have been coming to this practice for years, was consistently a loyal Dr. Brown client and loved his medicine and bedside manner. When he left, I felt so at ease with Sydney’s management and over the past couple of weeks, things have been falling apart with this practice. I continue to call to request to speak with her, and keep getting pushed off to this hill billy, unprofessional, supervisor Moe. Can never make resolutions, continues to over talk me, and has ZERO medical expertise with my pets history. Inaccurately relayed dosing of my pets medication, and when I went for a follow up the doctor reiterated to not listen to her instruction. Staff very rude, receptionists always on there phone talking about clients to other clients, discusting lobby. I will be going elsewhere and this facility needs to configure concrete stability going forward.

We love Setauket Animal Hospital, especially working with Moe. Talk about kind, compassionate, and goes out of her way to ensure our old dog Moose is well cared for and all of our needs are met! We’d be lost without her!
