I am so happy I found this veterinary clinic/hospital. My dog developed anxiety at the vet at the previous clinic we were attending that was more old school in their approach to handling animals. I was worried vet appointments would always be difficult and stressful. The doctors and vet techs at this clinic have all been very caring and gentle with her and over time her anxiety has greatly decreased and I no longer have to weigh whether it’s worth taking her in for something minor. I was worried after I had to leave her two nights after a surgery that she would be scared to return to the vet as her anxiety markedly increased at the previous clinic after I had had to drop her off for a few hours. Even after that experience, she eagerly runs up to the door and is happy to be there which I think is a testament to how well she was treated and the skill and compassion of all the workers here. Additionally, I’ve been really impressed by the level of diagnostic expertise here. Dr. Brown was a lifesaver with the multiple orthopedic issues my dog has had and quickly diagnosed a sprain two other vets had missed. I also always appreciate how she makes room for questions and to explain the science behind even minor issues we are dealing with. We’ve seen two other vets for last minute appointments, Dr. Davila and Dr. McDermott and they were both very helpful and kindly reassuring of my anxieties. The wait time has been fantastic compared to every other vet I’ve ever been to, we are quite often seen right at our scheduled time which is not the usual experience in any kind of medical office! We’ve also always been able to get same day appointments when we needed them. They have an easy to use online portal where I can easily check when vaccinations are due and request refills. They’ve always been very quick to get our refills ready and I’ve appreciated the communication around refills on medications with variable dosing, a worker has called us to explain how many pills they were giving based on any changes in dosing. Whenever I’ve called with a question, Dr. Brown has always called me back quickly, even for less urgent questions which is really comforting.
