I’ve been using this veterinary practice for over 11+ years - for both the care of my own pet (cat) as well as for an older friend’s 2 dogs. My friend’s health is frail and I would take her pets in for routine and emergency care. This practice is thorough and every doctor in the practice can always step in when the regular doctor you go to isn’t available. The practice will also create openings for critical needs. The prices are slightly higher than if you go to a smaller independent single doctor practice but the higher prices come with more comprehensive onsite services and diagnostics that they can provide. The vet assistants and other staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - ALWAYS ensuring your messages get answered. Calls and messages are always handled with the vet often calling you after hours when they are at home themselves. For my personal pet, I see the exceptional Dr. Julia Barnhart who really takes the time with my cat. Dr. Barnhart knows I must often be careful about costs and I’ve found her and all the veterinarians at Abington Square understand these issues and help navigate options that keep my cat healthy and not overwhelm my budget. In short, this practice provides exceptional care and can help animals with all the most recent advances in veterinary medicine and at the same time understands that not all pet parents can afford this highest level of care - so together you can make the best choices in your pet’s care based on quality of life and your financial circumstances. I always say if I were a millionaire I would go to almost any measure no matter the cost to help my cat..but since that’s not the case I do my best. Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic has always been there for me for over a decade of visits.
