I am leaving my original 5 star review below but wanted to update this review with an event related to our dog Luna. Dr Waters and this practice saved her life via a rapid and thorough diagnosis of Large T Cell hyper calcemic Lymphoma (Sorry if I am messing that up. Within 12 hours of their suspicions based on great clinical work done by them Luna was referred to an amazing Veterinary Oncology practice where she started treatments the next day. Luna is still very sick, but she is sick and alive; Doing really well, even if guarded. IF it had not been for the amazing work Dr Waters and everyone at East Bay had done it is likely Luna would be dead or shortly would be. We have what I hope will be a long journey with some good time ahead for Luna, but we would absolutely not be in this place to have this consideration if not for Dr. Waters and East Bay. PRIOR REVIEW: Great for dogs, cats and even birds. Dr. Maltese once opened the practice late on a Saturday night to help us attend to one of our cats who had a life threatening urinary blockage. My family and i won’t go to any another practice.

It was our first time here, was highly recommended by a friend. We couldn’t be happier. They were so kind and gentle with Gus, our Frenchie. They took such good care of him.

Always felt rushed everytime I was there, they clearly overbook and you feel the haste the moment you walk in. They had no plan for my cat, just diagnostic test after test as she was deteriorating. I also took my dog to get neutered. We later learned by our new vet that he aspirated under anesthesia because he was wheezing at night and has pneumonia. Thankfully I changed vets because I was tired of my appointments being rushed and the lack of plan, if any, for my cat. My cat is now on antibiotics with the new vet, diagnosed immediately, and is doing wonderfully. My dog just started his antibiotics for the pneumonia acquired during his procedure at east bay.

Professional, kind, compassionate staff throughout every interaction. I brought my dog here for nearly 15 years and have felt supported through every experience. An intelligent group that treated my dog as an individual and guided her medical care specific for her. Front desk staff is warm and patient. Very supportive in getting appointments, too.
