Our 6 year old mini poodle Theo yelped while running one day and started holding his leg up and limping, we were concerned as it wasnt getting better so we scheduled a consult with Animal Surgical Center and I must say this is the best care our dog has ever gotten.
Dr. Kamran met with us and quickly identified a full CCL/ACL tear. He was extremely patient as he answered my barrage of questions and gave us detailed explanations of our options. From our initial consult I could tell how knowledgeable, professional, and empathetic Dr. Kamran was and knew Theo would be in good hands. We opted for a lateral suture procedure along with PRP injection to aid recovery.
The day of the surgery the entire team was incredibly helpful from check in to pickup. They updated us when Theo went in for surgery as well as post operation and during recovery. Dr. Kamran and the team even reached out multiple times during the day to give me updates and everything was well documented, they even snapped a picture of Theo post op!
When we picked Theo later in the day our tech Darrin was amazing as well. He explained everything perfectly and then also took time to ensure we were OK despite it being late in the evening. Based off how Theo was acting I could tell he was treated incredibly well by the staff. Whenever I had questions the phone lines were always available and questions were quickly answered. Theo still has a long recovery journey ahead of us but its nice to know ASC is there to support us through it all.
Overall I can't say enough positives about ASC and if you have a pet that needs care I would highly recommend you bring them to ASC. Big shoutout to the whole team!
I want to say a huge thank you to Sara, Dr. Infernuso, Christina, Dr. Short, Scott, and all the other doctors, veterinary technicians, assistants, managers, receptionists at ASC! I apologize I can’t recall everyone by name but You all are truly amazing individuals and I’m forever thankful for all the care, dedication and hard work you all contributed to my little Shih Tzu, Mushie’s care. Just shy of a month ago, my Mushie who is only a little over a year jumped off the couch in excitement hurting his back, and became paralytic unable to use his hind legs. I was at a loss, my poor puppy was in so much pain and I was frantically searching all over the city for the best and most affordable options for care, and quoted crazy prices. Thankfully, I came across ASC and it felt nothing short of a miracle talking with Dr. Infernuso, Sara, Christina and the team, I knew I was in best hands. They offered me the most affordable options for IVDD surgery and within 3-4 short hours he was in CT and already done with surgery. Dr. Infernuso and his surgery team from the nurses and doctors, are nothing short of miracle healers! They reassured me and my family about Mushies care and post operative recovery, I felt at such ease knowing Mushie was going to make a great recovery. The doctors and nurses have amazing bedside care and really genuinely care for you and your pets.
Sara and Scott are truly stand out nurses going above and beyond to make Mushie felt comfortable, sending me photos and even putting on some cartoons for him to watch as he recovered. All the overnight nurses and other assistants are also nothing short of amazing, always super friendly and so willing to help or answer any questions.
The hospital not to mention is impeccable and the offer rehabilitation to help my Mushie get back to his normal self running and walking again. We are already nearly 3 weeks post op and he’s already trying to take his first steps and wagging his tail non stop. Considering just three weeks ago he wasn’t even able to move his tail more or less walk. We may Still on the road to recovery but it wouldn’t have been possible without ASC! I’m so eternally thankful, this is a place that truly cares about your pet and wants to help no matter the circumstances. They are all heroes who truly love what they do and are the most empathetic human beings. Truly a gem of a hospital and it is filled with the best of the best of veterinary medicine - people who truly love to help animals.
Our 5 year old golden doodle had cancer of her right rear leg and our only hope of saving her life was a full amputation. Dr. Infurnuso performed the surgery and after only five weeks post surgery she is back to being the wonderful, energetic, happy girl she has always been. We are so thankful for the expert care, treatment and kindness shown from Dr. Infurnuso, Dr. Santiago and from all of the wonderful staff at Animal Surgical.Center.
