If I could give this place a negative 200 I would.I am absolutely appalled by the lack of urgency and compassion at this holistic vet. I brought my dog in while she was clearly suffocating—she was in severe respiratory distress and struggling to breathe. It was obvious she was in a life-threatening situation—something even I, not being a vet, could clearly recognize.
While the vet did examine her and provided acupuncture and herbs, there was no acknowledgment of the severity of her condition and no effort to stabilize her or escalate care. There was no emergency guidance and no sense of urgency.
I sat in my car for 20 minutes trying to stabilize my dog, then went back inside crying and begging for help, specifically asking for oxygen. I was told they do not have oxygen available. As a veterinary practice, I am shocked that they have nothing in place for emergencies like this.
To make matters worse, while my dog was in distress, the receptionist was visibly upset that my dog had an accident on the floor and questioned whether I had taken her out beforehand. Being asked that while my dog was struggling to breathe was completely inappropriate and added to an already traumatic situation.
Instead, I was told to drive home and “be careful,” while my dog was actively struggling to breathe. I then had to rush to an emergency vet, where my dog ultimately had to be put down.
Given how severe and traumatic this situation was, the lack of care continued afterward—there was not even a follow-up call to check on my dog or the outcome. That level of indifference is unacceptable.
In a moment that required decisive, compassionate medical action, I was met with a complete lack of it. I would never trust or recommend a practice that fails to recognize and respond appropriately to a true emergency.
Update: 4/29 Follow-up after speaking with the office: I was told they “gave direction” and advised me to seek emergency medical care during my dog’s medical crisis. That is not true.
My dog was in obvious, severe respiratory distress and struggling to breathe. I repeatedly asked how I was supposed to get her home—clearly stating multiple times that it was a 50-minute drive. Not once, in any of those moments, was I told to seek emergency care. Instead, I was told to drive carefully, play soft music, and try to keep her calm while she was actively struggling to breathe.
I returned to the office crying and asking for help and was still not given meaningful guidance or directed to emergency care. There was no urgency and no attempt to stabilize her condition.
The follow-up conversation only happened because I called the office five days later—they did not reach out to me.
It was also clear during that conversation that they had already read my original review, as they addressed points I had not yet mentioned and responded with what sounded like rehearsed “correct answers” rather than what actually happened.
They knew how critical my dog was.
I was also told the receptionist had been instructed by the doctor on Monday to follow up with me; when I spoke with her on Friday, she admitted she never did because the week “got away from her,” and there had still been no follow-up.
While I was paying for the visit, the vet said, “not to make you feel worse, but I wish you would have gotten her to me a year earlier—I may have been able to help her.” That statement was completely inappropriate, especially in that moment. I had been under active veterinary care over the past year and was not neglecting my dog or ignoring a known issue. To say something like that while I was in the middle of a medical crisis was not only unhelpful, it was insensitive and misplaced.
This was not a misunderstanding—this was a failure to act in a critical situation, followed by a failure to follow through, and now a misrepresentation of what actually occurred.
Pet owners in emergencies deserve immediate, clear direction, urgency, and honesty. That is not what I was given.

I went here for the first time just this week. I was very happy to find an all natural/raw pet store so close to home. I have been wanting to do natural/raw so to see someone so close was great. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable and we're super helpful in assisting me of finding what I needed.
