This vet USED to be a quality place to take your animal. But they have become so busy, apparently making enough money not to care, that their compassion ..their accuracy in diagnosis ..is nowhere near the quality it used to be. After we have been a client for over 30 years, and over eight dogs with this practice, we were completely blown off with an emergency situation with my pet- I had called ahead, they told me to come right up, and then the "clerical woman" (who has the compassion of a rock, and should be fired). They were completely insensitive as I tried to re-stress what I had explained on the phone..the severity of my pets issue.."well I didn't talk to you before" she rudely stated.. .. doesn't proceed to take my pet in immediately.. but, instead, left me with a "beeper" (for over 45 minutes) in the parking lot, (since I couldn't get my pet out of the car.. due to how sick he was) What's worse, is there was a doctor standing there.. one I have known for years.. who looked right at me, heard what I was saying, turned his back , and walked away.. instead of helping.. .. I finally had to call another vet while waiting in the parking lot.. (as my dog continued to vomit, and get more lethargic.). To ask for help.. Thankfully , the other vets office was very compassionate, and told me that with the symptoms I was explaining I needed to get to an ER elsewhere, as soon as I could..to get proper care for my pet (my pet later diagnosed with a severe health crisis, HGE) When I finally got home the next morning, from the ER, turns out this vet had called my house another almost 30 minutes AFTER I had left.. they hadn't even realize I had left.. ( even though I had walked in and placed the beeper on their desk as I left). ..that's how attentive they were to caring about what was happening with my pet. Sadly, I think it's time to change my pets care to another facility, if I want them to remain healthy and safe. I don't know what's happened there.. but it's highly disappointing.. and it is NOT the amazing facility it used to be , established under Dr Mac Holmes .

I have been to several vets in the past, but have stuck with Cobleskill Vet for more than 20 years. Family oriented with the best staff and service.
