The people there are very caring and were wonderful taking care of our Gracie after her operation. They answered all are questions and we new she was in good hands. We strongly recommend them , and thank them.

After going from shelter to shelter in search of our new family member, we found her at Kent and can tell you, they are by far the best shelter, very professional, clean and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Hate to give an animal shelter a bad review but I can’t process what happened. Yesterday my partner and I went to meet dogs and fell in love with a dog. We were instructed to fill out the application on site and we’re told “he has a vet appointment on Monday but other than that he should be good to go”. I called up this morning on Friday to be told he was given to another family, which is fine I understand that is how this works but to not give us any indication there were other applicants and to use phrasing that led us to believe we got the dog is just wrong. Had I not called today I would’ve showed up on Monday to learn the dog wasn’t even there. Very disappointing to not even get a notification that I was rejected.

I am so disapointed. I adopted a dog 3 1/2 weeks ago from Kent. She came heartworm positive and with other parasites causing diarrhea I went into this with my eyes open as I have adopted from other shelters before and this is common. I have called periodically as the diarrhea is still as bad as ever. Unfortunatly after 2 weeks they are no longer responsible for pre existing conditions other then heartworm which they have agreed to treat. I expected more and my next adoption will not be from Kent

Overall an OK experience, but as an animal lover it's heartbreaking to see the sad look on some of the dogs faces if you walk by the cage, even if you go back to them. Also heartbreaking is leaving without a dog after you have spent time with them, knowing you are going home, but they stay "jailed".
